This page is a loose home for recordings, sketches, and a few arrangements that have survived long enough to stay in rotation.

Sheet Music

MuseScore has a small set of nursery rhymes and Christmas carols that I rearranged into minor keys.

Meatspace (live)

Since 2017, most of my music time has gone into improving my jazz vocabulary, theory, time feel, and arranging, rather than properly recording everything.

So this page is a bit behind the actual playing.

These are some of the songs and reworks I still want to record:

  • Cliffy: a country-acoustic, half-time take on “Cliffs of Dover” by Eric Johnson.
  • Wicked Third Stone: a mashup of “Third Stone from the Sun” by Jimi Hendrix and “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak.
  • Gertrude Blues: a country-leaning, alternative version of “Traveling Riverside Blues.”
  • Laydya: a darker version of “Layla” by Eric Clapton, also known as the torture song.
  • Classical Beatles: arrangements of “A Hard Day’s Night” and “Yesterday” built around the vocal melodies.
  • Song for George: a cover of the Eric Johnson tune.
  • Winter Solstice: a cover of the Tea Party song.
  • Twinkle Blues: an alternative take on “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”
  • Plushy: an alternative version of “Plush” by Stone Temple Pilots.
  • Jingle Jazz: a jazzier alternative take on “Jingle Bells.”
  • Rude Alf: an alternative version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
  • Blue Boss: a loose, Blue Bossa-ish standard workout.

Please kick me in the pants to record more.
